No distinction, no judgement, only what is best for our students.
Getting started can be hard, we know well that. That is why we offer class for every level all day every day.

Adult Jiu-Jitsu Classes

Jorge Santos BJJ ClassJiu Jitsu is for everyone, gender and age are not an excuse!
BJJ allows a small and weak person to submit bigger opponents with the use of proper techniques, especially when the aggressor has no ground fighting knowledge, so it has gained popularity as a system if self-defence in recent years. Its effectiveness has been recognised and it’s been incorporated into a variety of programs, from military special forces to women's self-defence. Beginners are followed by our coaches step by step, and taught the art in a happy and relaxed environment. Advanced classes are for blue belts an above: those with more experience and a strong understanding of the basics.

JSBBJJ has created a dedicated program to support athletes and prepare them for competition, with specialized training along with stretch & flow classes. Regular classes, competition classes and S&F are INCLUDED in your monthly membership. Ladies, if you are not sure if Jiu Jitsu is for you, why not come for a free trial of training in a ladies only environment with our female coach? At the end of the day girls just wanna have fun!

Private classes are available, just speak with one of our coaches for times and prices.

We would like to remind you that it’s up to every single student in our club to believe in their own skills and improve himself or herself on and off the mat on a daily basis. Jiu Jitsu is a lifestyle.
Feel free to drop in for one of our free intro classes: Saturday morning at 10am or Wednesday morning at 11.45am.

Kids Jiu-Jitsu Classes

Jorge Santos BJJ Kids ClassBrazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a martial art form that is very safe and by making fitness fun, helps develop a healthy lifestyle and incorporate fitness as a natural part of children’s lives. Kids also learn the art of respect and perseverance and it will help your kid to develop personal goals. Jiu Jitsu teaches good habits, for example, always being punctual to the classes, respecting training partners and teachers, listening and applying what is being taught.

We know that between the ages of 6 and 12 kids start to develop the personal habits that will last a lifetime; that is why we suggest starting Jiu Jitsu training while they are young. We take kids as young as 4 years old, all our instructors are fully trained and qualified and we teach in pleasant and happy environment.

Muay Thai Classes

Jorge Santos Muay Thai ClassMuay Thai is a combat sport from Thailand that uses stand-up striking along with various clinching techniques. The programme focus on teaching the fundamental techniques of Muay Thai. This physical and mental discipline, which includes combat on shins, is known as "the art of eight limbs". Characterized by the combined use of fists, elbows, knees and shins, Muay Thai is associated with good physical preparation that makes a full-contact fighter very efficient.

FUNCTIONAL TRAINING

Jorge Santos Functional Training Class As a part of the training programme, we offer special classes to our competitors to improve body skills and develop their conditioning to perform even better while training, or compete in a tournament. Functional training, along with occasional stretch classes, lead to better joint mobility and stability, as well as more efficient motor patterns. Improving these factors decreases the risk of sustaining an injury during regular training.
